About the role
We wish to appoint a Technician to be a member of the Airfield Support Team reporting to the Team Leader. The successful applicant will be accountable for the delivery and provision of CIS, Communications and infra structure support to a number of airfields in the Cranwell area.

The key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:
• Deliver the contracted AST task.
• Ensure all tasks meet or exceed contractual SLA's
• Ensure all equipment is managed, maintained and supplied to meet contractual needs.
• Maintain appropriate liaison with customers.
• Ensure availability of emergency communication systems.

What do I need to do the role?

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
• Proven ability to be an effective team member.
• Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals Level 2.
• Working at heights experience
• Driving license

Desirable:
• RAF Trade Group 4 Ground Radio Engineering Experience.
• Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals.
• Working at Height qualification
• RADHAZ experience
• Ex-military telecommunications mechanic, engineer or communications operator

Skills:
• Supports a culture of high performance and best practice.
• Communicates effectively in order to deliver the task objectives.
• Articulate in oral and written communication
• Good analytical/problem solving skills.

What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
