Business Development Manager - Geospatial

Working for a progressive and expanding Geospatial organisation based just south of London, this role will be working with an existing client base of both end customer accounts within defence as well as private sector defence primes and is tasked with growth and development of those accounts.

An SME who currently employs 50 people, this organisation has been in the market for 30 years and has just undergone a management buy out with investment to propel them forward and maximise their full potential. A solutions business not product, this means you will work on challenges and opportunity not position a product with a buyer. The solutions will be across geospatial, data modelling/cleansing/analysis and Solution Architecture.

As this is an SME environment you will be able to utilise your skills and experience in performing this role, you will not be tied to specific tools or activity. They have a highly experienced team and well maintained processes to support this role with pre-sales supported by the management team and technologists. They are scalable and as such are not afraid to respond to opportunities which may seem optimistic for a team of 50 with access to a well embedded pool of experts in their field.

It is important that the successful candidate will not be afraid to roll their sleeves up and work through the sales cycle and into implementation especially as the end customers you will be dealing with are well established clients.

This business will grow and as such there is significant career potential available for the right person You can be based anywhere in the UK and can choose the hours that fit best with your personal life. The majority of their clients are in the south and you will be expected to visit customer premises and ah-hoc the office.

An excellent opportunity for a BDM within geospatial looking for a role where they can be the master of their own destiny, utilise their skills to the maximum and be part of a growing organisation at a critical and exciting time.
