Job Title: Procurement Excellence Manager - 9-12 month Fixed Term Contract

Base location: Hook

Salary: Up to £65,000

Procurement supports the business by understanding requirements and providing innovative solutions from the supply market that reduce cost, improve service & quality and protect the business from risk.

As the Procurement Excellence Manager, you will provide experienced leadership and expertise to drive continuous improvement of procurement service and performance across the group. You will be accountable for increasing productivity through design and implementation of solutions that enable procurement to deliver its commitments and objectives. The role will also be the interface between Serco and its third-party Procurement Delivery Partner on short- and long-term strategies to deliver innovation and continuous improvement.

Essential technical and professional skills

Firstly, you'll need extensive experience and knowledge of procurement best practice and processes covering Category Management, Sourcing, Supplier Management and Purchase to Pay. You'll also need demonstrable experience and a consistent track record of delivery within large and complex Procurement organisations. Its highly desirable that you have previous experience of creating, building, leading and managing successful Procurement teams. Lastly, you'll possess strong business acumen, able to understand complex business needs and drivers and identify ways for Procurement to address.
