About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Head of Account Receivable.

This is a varied role and will include line management of up to 8 transactional staff, including performance, appraisals, training & delegating work. Additionally you will be focusing on continuous improvement so you should be capable of developing & improving processes/systems in the billings/AR function.

Role Summary:

  • Delivery & development of Accounts receivable, billings & collections function
  • Managing day to day transactions, maintaining & improving standard practices
  • Line management of a team of 8, implementing targets, SLA's & KPI's
  • Continuous improvement of processes for the Accounts Receivable function

Your main tasks will include:

  • Ensuring all billing activity is delivered in accordance with SLA's.
  • Ensuring accurate delivery of transactional activities
  • Monitoring & tracking customer billing queries and ensuring appropriate remedial actions & process changes are used & recorded
  • Developing your own KPI's for cash collection & other areas of performance
  • Supporting SAP rollout, including implementation & service transition
  • Assisting management with budget and working to ensure cost savings are achieved in line.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need experience as a transactional manager, ideally within Accounts receivable

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Technically strong, with ERP experience and advances excel skills
  • Shared service experience an advantage
  • Experience of KPI management & employee development/training
  • Experience of Continuous improvement

What else do I need to know?
  • This is a great opportunity to take ownership of your own team and make improvements where you see fit. You will be in charge of creating KPI's & all performance management aspects including training, upskilling etc.
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
