Technical Architecture and Engineering Workstream – South of England only

We are currently recruiting across a wide variety of roles for new and existing programmes with our clients in the Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors.

Through Agile Project Management, technical design and build, automated Testing with an emphasis on 'secure by design' delivery, we will utilise the latest technologies to deliver an interconnected on-premise technology solutions.

These roles require the successful applicants to undergo UK security vetting clearance (or a willingness to apply).​

The Opportunity

We are developing new managed services within a ground breaking multi-tenant private cloud to replace a complex legacy Enterprise infrastructure. This will require a high level of automation and repeatable component design patterns to allow the deployment of client business solutions within short time frames. The project will make heavy use of Windows and VMware technologies, supported by niche infrastructure and applications.

We're looking for people to join us, working in a multi-disciplinary team to build, manage and support a user production system, providing standard office applications, and multiple Development and Testing environments, in support of a sophisticated program of work. We're looking for people with broad infrastructure background across MS Windows Server and Desktop operating systems in a virtualised (VMware) environment. Services to be supported include Email, Unified Communications, Web Servers, File Stores, DevOps tools, VDI, and Desktop & Server security software.

This is a cutting-edge environment so you'll need to be comfortable with change and be able to rapidly learn new skills and technologies.​

What you'll be doing

·       Introducing world class levels of automation

·       Ensuring effective security controls are in place

·       Document Authoring

·       Incident and Problem Resolution

·       Server Management

·       Virtual and Thick Desktop Management​

You will need to have

·       Proven experience with a broad range of Enterprise Infrastructure: End User Devices, Desktop and Server Operating Systems, Management Tooling, Business Applications, and Messaging Software

·       Proven Experience in the support of Non-Persistent and Persistent Virtual Desktops (OS rather than backend) and Thin Clients

·       Ideal: Windows Server 2016+, Windows 10, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or SCCM, Microsoft Exchange

·       Ability to work both autonomously and within a team

·       User and Client Focused​

It would be great if you had

·       Experience with Automation Technologies: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell

·       Experience with VMware vRealize Product Set

·       Experience in supporting: Confluence, Azure DevOps, VersionOne

·       Experience supporting Linux Operating Systems

·       Experience with Forcepoint Security Products

·       Awareness of EMCON and HMG Security Standards

·       Experience with NIST Cyber Security Framework

·       Experience delivering projects using SAFe

·       Experience with ArchiMate and BizDesign
