Solution Architect (Principal Consultant)

We are working on an exciting role and are now looking for a Solution Architect (Principal Consultant) for one of our leading and fast-growing consultancy client in the UK. The role will perform remotely.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will work with a range of disciplines including project management specialisms across our client’s business to implement digital technology solutions. The post holder will design solutions to ensure that the most appropriate technology is utilised to fulfil the requirements of the client. Ideal candidates will be able to lead on the identification of opportunities for implementing improvements to architecture and deliver these solutions in line with the project aims.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsibility for delivering a successful solution to the customer
• Design and develop the requirements for complex IT solutions that meet the client’s needs
• Deliver end-to-end solutions within budget and on time
• Manage stakeholders from wide backgrounds 
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies and standards

Requirements 

• Extensive knowledge of the available technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Extensive experience of working with multiple stakeholders including end users and CxO level
• Experience of designing complex solutions within a secure customer environment
• A background in DevOps/IT Infrastructure or Cloud Computing
• Analytical mindset
• Collaborative working
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of describing a technical subject to a non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel to client sites
• Must have or be eligible for and willing to undergo UK Government security vetting (SC). Please check that you are eligible before applying (this does not require UK citizenship)

Desirable to have the following:

• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
• Experience working in the Ministry of Defence, Nuclear or the Public Sector
• Solution architect qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate, BizzDesign or others)
• Exposure to public cloud platforms
