Project Manager, MoD, up to £550/day

The Ministry of Defence are seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Corsham. The candidate will be required in the office around 3 days/week but can work from home the rest of the time.

Initial contracts will run for 220 working days and offer a rate up to £550/day.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. Applicants require active DV clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred. Candidates with SC Clearance will be considered. Candidates must be sole UK nationals.

The key schedule tasks are:

• Responsible and Accountable for Delivering the Project Management functions within the Cross Domain Interoperability Services elements of the Deployed workstream, to include Official-Sensitive and Secret security domains.
• All aspects of technical project management, including RAIDO, Scheduling, Technical Team Management, Procurement and commercial and financial activity.
• Delivery of the UK elements, on behalf of the Capability Sponsor and in collaboration with a cross-government team, of the UK-US collaboration and development work.

Essential Requirements

• Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
• Strong evidence of background, knowledge, and experience of delivering projects using the project management approaches, tools and techniques that are described in the Association of Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge 7th Edition and capable of meeting the APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) standard within 12 months of appointment;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Proven ability to define, source, tailor, and analyse high quality management information;
• Able to demonstrate the professional credibility required to work collaboratively across project and organisational boundaries;

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of international collaboration
• Experience of interoperability and gateway services
• MOD experience
• Experience of capturing and engineering requirements

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
