Job Description Summary As the Strategic Alliance Director, you will lead the strategic approach to vendor management for research and development (R&D) and manages the operational aspects of external vendor partnerships.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • To develop and maintain a lean and strategic approach to our vendor management in R&D and the wider PDx organization
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external partners, ensuring ongoing feedback and issue escalation is performed where needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Vendor panel is appropriate for the business needs, identifying gaps in the vendor panel and finding suppliers to fill those gaps regionally and globally.
  • Responsible for maintaining internal collaboration between R&D, Sourcing and QA.
  • Ensure all activities with external vendors are awarded and maintained in compliance with Good Clinical Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, and Corporate Policies, Guidelines and Standards.
  • Lead vendor selection process, including conducting RFPs, helping to define SoW by working with each functional area
  • Manage Bid defence process, ensuring teams follow the relevant SOP.
  • Drive MSA and Schedule finalisation to completion by working effectively with Sourcing, Contracts and Legal
  • Manage termination of relationships and lead close out negotiation
  • Measure vendor delivery against planned milestones and budget
  • Ensure required vendor audits are scheduled with QA as necessary to add vendors to the Approved Supplier list and on an ongoing basis.
  • Review and negotiate contract language terms, conditions, and budgets with external service providers in collaboration with sourcing, contracts and legal
  • Maintain agreements, monitor progress, and manage issue escalation and resolution
  • Maintain continuous communication with cross functional partners to gather feedback on vendors and future needs.
  
Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, together with significant industry experience
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical research operations, compliance, clinical study execution and vendor management.
  • Experience working within a CRO environment.
