Job Description Summary As our Senior Medical Advisor you will form a bridge between our products and the practicing clinicians. You will provide medical support to our product portfolio of contrast media for CT and MR and nuclear medicine. This will involve providing evidence based information to Key Opinion Leaders and conducting continued medical education programs to our sales teams & customers. It also involves supporting the investigators in our clinical trials by reviewing adverse event reports and tackle the customer enquiries on drug safety issues. The scope of this role will be Northern Europe.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Essential responsibilities:
  • Conduct continued medical education programs to our Sales teams & customers across the region
  • Liaise with Marketing and provide authentic and evidence-based information about our products to the Key Opinion Leaders and consumers
  • Provide training to clinicians and medical assessment of the suspected adverse events
  • Serve as a point of contact for our clinical trial teams and support the investigators by reviewing adverse event reports
  • Visit customer sites in the region in cooperation with our Key Account Managers, to deliver client presentations
  • Tackle the customer enquiries on drug safety issues
  • Organization of, and participation in, regional, national and international scientific meetings. Drafting out summaries of these meetings for internal training purposes
  • Carry out, in cooperation with the Medical Director the causality assessment and decision-making about further appropriate actions.
     
Qualifications/requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD) with a registration and several years of experience as a research physician or PhD in a biomedical field
  • Previous experience as Medical Advisor, Medical Science Liaison or Medical Officer in a pharmaceutical Top 20 company
  • Knowledge of ABPI & EU regulations and certification process
  • Strong team-player with business acumen; understands and supports the needs of the commercial team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time (domestic and international).
