Job Description Summary Provides overall leadership and strategy for trade compliance. Overall functional responsibilities include global customs operations, Trade compliance/governance, Trade Compliance digital strategy, Customs Center of Excellence and duty management programs. Lead global import operating teams, digital and initiative team, and compliance COE of 70 people. Manages duty spend of $170M and duty avoidance programs of another $170M

Job Description
  • Facilitation of compliant cross-border transactions for all GEHC business units
  • Oversee global duty deferral or duty avoidance programs
  • Manage outsourced Customs process providers and Customs brokers
  • Lead classification and other data management programs such as Global HS, COO, and export classifications
  • Maintain and publish metrics relevant to Global Trade Compliance
  • Ensure Company adherence to Customs and Export Controls Enterprise Standards
  • Identify and champion continuous improvement projects and ensure corrective actions are implemented, when necessary
  • Identify tools, systems and software to enhance end to end visibility, reduce manual errors and improve content available to Trade professionals
  • Oversee the user administration and standardization of the Company's Global Trade Management (GTM) system
  • Coordinate initiatives with Tax, Legal, Logistics, IT, Global Security, warehouse, and Finance teams to provide strategic and operational input into supply chain decisions
  • Interact with legal and global affiliates and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence & compliance
  • Provide strategy and leadership for systems and digitization of processes. Drive continuous, digitization, productivity & compliance improvements
  • Developing & maintaining operational and compliance manuals and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Performing internal audits of GEHC processes that impact compliant import/export activities
Basic Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering or related discipline2. Minimum 10 years of experience working in customs.3.  Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization.  4. Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast paced changing environment.5. Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time6. 5+ years of people leadership 7. This position can sit in the US, UK, Germany, Norway, Hungary, India, China, Brazil, or Dubai. Preferred Qualifications: 1. MBA or MS in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain2. Minimum of 15 years of Supply Chain, operational logistics, import/export and/or customs expertise.3. Demonstrated logistics leadership of multiple facilities in a similar industry4. Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams5. Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills 6. Ability to energize, develop and influence at all levels within an organization7. Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical "hands-on" operational plans and strategies 8. Proven leadership skills demonstrating clear perspective of factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers.9. ITC experience such as export licensing, watchlist screening, export classification and related areas  Experience with Global Trade Management Systems such as Trade Automation
