About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an experienced Business Support Manager (Warehousing & Distribution) to join our team at HMNB Clyde.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the business meets or exceeds financial and performance targets through data driven decision making and identification of growth opportunity. Ensuring resources are secured, managed, integrated and planned to meet schedules, specifications and quality objectives. You will have responsibility for a team of 13 staff with 8 direct reports.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure department resources are secured, managed, integrated and planned to achieve service excellence ensuring KPI's are achieved to deliver a profitable business and protect business reputation
  • Management of a service data environment supporting effective management and reporting platform to ensure the business meets or exceeds financial and performance targets
  • Management of Financial and Commercial elements of the contract
  • Management of demand, output and performance data, including IFS task configuration and reporting
  • Development of stakeholder relationships to ensure effective working arrangements and performance criteria met
  • Ensure department resources are secured, integrated and organised to meet schedules, specifications and quality objectives
  • Business management to ensure Legislative, commercial and safety compliance and protection of business reputation
  • Manage integration of new business systems into the Warehousing and Distribution Organisation


What do I need to do the role?

We are looking for someone who has operated at a Middle / Senior Management level ideally within a Warehousing and Distribution or similar fast paced environment with an extensive Business Management background.

You will have a proven track record in financial and commercial management including performance management and reporting along with business development and the management of growth opportunities, change and improvement.

What else do I need to know?
This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.

You will be responsible in supporting the General Manager in the Management of the Warehousing and Distribution business with a value around £10M.

We require an element of flexibility for this role with the expectation of being available to provide management support to the out of hour's team if required.
