Job Description Summary The Infrastructure & Operations R&D Leader will facilitate operations using digital dashboards and tools to drive the execution of R&D projects for new product introduction, life cycle support, and systems delivery from R&D. The successful candidate will plan and develop the digital infrastructure and evolution of processes for product development activities. Special attention will be paid to DevOps as we transform the way we develop and deliver Software and System Solutions using Agile methodologies working closely with the R&D Software Leader, Product Management, Operations, and Region Leaders.

Job Description Major Responsibilities:
- Consolidate strategic planning and operational tracking for R&D including budgets, staffing, and execution KPIs including program cost, product cost, productivity, on time delivery, and committed scope
- Develop and provide visual KPI dashboards to see progress toward operational and strategic outcomes
- Transformation change management including competency & capacity planning, site scope/resource utilization
- Drive operational discipline to improve on time delivery of NPIs, quality, speed, and priority focus
- Convene operations reviews to monitor progress, track risks and highlight options for resolution
- Improve performance to close gaps in delivery and scope of complex systems for multiple customers with agile processes and automation
- Facilitate process improvements through lean methodology and the adoption of Agile methodologies
- Simplify and harmonize R&D management tools and processes while aligning with the GS R&D Central Teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing multiple, globally distributed teams
- Experience with modern agile project organization and practices (Scrum, DevOps)
- Excellent people and communication skills - leading by influence and change management
- Experience with quality systems and continuous improvement practice including KPI definition and tracking
Desired:
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAF) for solutions delivery
- Change management and culture change - experience with R&D organizations and cross-matrix processes
- Familiar with utility power system applications and practices
