Monitoring DevOps Engineer
Security Clearance Required
Home (UK Only) and Croydon
Monitoring DevOps Engineer - this is an ongoing contract requirement, a level of security clearance is required for this position, candidates not holding clearance will still be considered.
This position is a home working (UK only) position, there may be some need to travel to the office in Croydon on an adhoc basis.
Working for a leading IT & Communications client and with they key end customer, as Monitoring DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Developing monitoring solutions for 24/7/365 mission critical infrastructures with multiple technologies including ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch/trail
- Developing monitoring dashboards and reporting for multiple technologies including PostGres/PostGres RDS, Groovy and Java applications with spring boot, and Kafta
- Develop IaaC and CI/CD pipelines for the following DevOps toolsets:
- Microsoft GitHub, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Jenkins
- Container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, JSONnet
- Cloud platforms - AWS
- Working with Scrum based development projects
- Working within large government projects and programmes
Essential Technology Skills:
- Monitoring - Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Dynatrace, Cloudwatch/trail
- CI/CD - Jenkins, Groovy, Jira, Confluence
- IaaC for monitoring and management - PostGres/PostGres RDS
- Working on Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher platforms including helm, JSONnet
