Job type: Permanent, full time

Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday and flexibility to work weekends when required.

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Bisham Abbey is one of Sport England`s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Bisham Abbey provides excellent facilities to Britain's leading sports men and women. Bisham Abbey is also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days.

We are located close to London and major transport links and sits on the borders of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire in stunning grounds on the banks of the River Thames. As the Grounds Person the purpose of your role is to be responsible for the delivery of grounds maintenance associated services and processes that support the operation of the site, setting and ensuring the highest standards of safety, landscaping and grounds maintenance to ensure our world class sporting venue remains a beautiful, safe and clean place for our staff and customers .

The position will be varied and on a day to day basis, some of your responsibilities will include line marking, rotary mowing, devoting, fertilising, tractor and tractor mounted equipment work, changing litter bins, blowing leaves and any other grounds and landscape maintenance tasks as required.

About you

The successful candidate must have previous Grounds / Landscaping experience to be considered for this role.

It's essential that you hold a driving license and desirable that you hold the following:
  • N.V.Q. Level 2 or similar.
  • IOG National Certificate in Sports and Amenity Turf maintenance (level1 or 2) and/or National Practical Certificate.
  • Pesticides Application 1, 2 and 6 spraying certificates
