Assistant Project Manager (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 months

Contracting Authority: MOD DIO

Location: Northolt

This is a pivotal part of the Additional Works Team to include the accurate recording, monitoring and compliance with mandatory requirements, promoting strong working relationships both within the team and with other teams and contractors across DIO and MOD. This will include driving liaison and engagement, in line with Additional Works Team direction as appropriate, with MOD, senior level managements and other stakeholders on all system change programmes and plans.

As an Assistant Project Manager, your main responsibilities would be to: 

  • Take responsibility for DIO Additional Works programme & project management of individual projects. 
  • Support the DIO in-year Command Infrastructure Programme Development (CIPD), highlighting future programming works. 
  • Ensure clear audit governance compliance during implementation of the AWS change process. 
  • Support and collate the development of Business Cases up to value of £3.93 million. 
  • Monitor the in-year progress of the DIO AWS programme in liaison with Regional Delivery teams and the industry partner. 
  • Identify when corrective action or re-prioritising of the programme may be required. 
  • Assist in the performance monitoring and the assurance of milestones against the larger projects, using KPIs, benchmarking or other performance data. 
  • Take responsibility for monitoring delivery of the agreed CIDP Programme of work on IMS.   
  • Process and Performance Management 
  • Manage the Information Management System data quality for additional works tasks. 
  • Highlight risk issues and opportunity management requiring interventions. 
  • Providing updated information and data to all DIO and other corporate reporting requirements.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement 
  • Engagement with all stakeholders to achieve delivery outputs. 
  • Liaise with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) including Technical Services and Estates to support the assessment and scrutiny of additional works. 
  • Liaise with Estates team to review plans for acquisitions or disposals in region. 
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement of the AWS process in conjunction with all appropriate stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the DIO Values  
  • Ensure compliance with all mandatory requirements consistent with DIO and MOD policy including H&S, Training, and personal development 
  • Promote strong working relationships both within the team and with other teams across DIO and MOD. 

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Experience in Project Delivery Ideally in estates
  • SC Clearance
  • MSP or Prince 2
  • Stakeholder management

You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:

  • MOD background (desirable)
