About the role

Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Plant Operating Scheme Senior Supervisor to join the team on a fixed term contract for twelve months.

Main responsibilities include:
• Ensure adequate supervision of the Plant operating workforce on site to ensure safety, productivity and workmanship meet the necessary standards.
• Liaise with line manager on variations and additional works.
• Plan and implement the use of road rail plant and associated staff as required by the construction teams.
• Plan and implement the POS (Plant Operating Scheme) Representative requirements for all sites.

What do I need to do the role?

You will have knowledge of the following:
• Network Rail Plant Operating Scheme regulations
• Network Rail plant approval system

You will be Sentinel Lift planner certified, and hold ES / COSS / SWL certification.

You will also have demonstrable experience as a POS Supervisor / POS Manager within a Rail environment.

Strong man management ability, and a valid driving licence is essential.

What else do I need to know?

This role is based out of our Hamilton office, but you will be required to work on site and stay away from home where required. Willingness to works nights and weekends is essential.

Working hours are 35 per week, with a requirement to work 3 weekends out of 4, and 2 weeks of nights out of 4 as part of their standard roster pattern.
