We are recruiting a senior role within the Greater Manchester Shared Service Centre for an individual seeking a challenge in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused environment who has a passion for payroll and pensions service delivery. The role is based at Trafford Town Hall within the collaborative shared service with GMP.
You will be the lead expert in respect of all matters relating to payroll and pensions processes, regulations and legislation, acting as a point of expertise for specialist advice for employees, managers and external stakeholders. You will have significant experience of developing and implementing Payroll systems, processes and procedures within a large, complex organisation as well as experience of working at a payroll control level within a payroll service serving multiple organisations with varying conditions and regulations.
You should be qualified to AAT Level 3 NVQ in payroll / CIPP Foundation in Payroll administration or equivalent and be an Associate CIPP or have relevant professional membership.
Ideally you will have previous payroll experience within the public sector although not essential.
