AI Ethics and Governance Consultant
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 Month Contract

Job Description
* Our client is looking for an AI Ethics and Governance consultant to support the team on an AI Ethics study and the development of a related framework in the UK & EU.
* The consultant will be responsible for developing the client's AI governance strategy, drafting a comprehensive framework, case studies and a position paper; monitoring legislative developments and representing the company on standards, policy, legislative and regulatory matters with the international institutions, trade associations, think tanks and non-governmental organisations.
* The position reports to the Director of European Industry & Standards Development and receives direction from other Directors as required. Minor travel within EU countries such as Belgium, France or Germany could be required.
Profile Requirements
* A solid understanding of AI policy, ethics and governance initiatives in the UK & EU, private sector and third sector.
* Affiliation with key AI Ethics/Governance related organisations, such as industry, standards, NGO, think tank and research institutions
* Master's degree, 2 to 5 years of working experience with proven experience on AI management or governance/controls topics.
* Technical (data science, AI/ML) expertise strongly desirable but not crucial.
* Experience in project management with tangible deliveries. Equally comfortable undertaking strategic analyses, as well as 'getting stuff done' in tactical projects.
* A good trail of publications, reports, studies etc.
* Ideally experience with a leading tech company.
Tasks
* Guiding the client in developing and supervising the establishing of AI Ethics/Governance strategy and practice in key business units.
* Designing an operational framework to delineate different roles/profiles in the AI supply chain and operationalizing AI ethics, e.g. setting measurable and testable minimum standards and best practice guidance.
* Bringing together a wide range of reputable members and participants from academia, the private sector, and the third sector to join the project.
* Drafting case studies and articles on how ethics/safety is considered within various product lines.
