Forensic Services are seeking applications for the position of Forensic Intelligence Assistant.

The successful candidate will support functions within the unit including:
• Receiving, verifying and recording DNA hits from the National DNA Database onto GMP systems
• Carrying out elimination research into Fingerprint and DNA hits and update relevant intelligence systems
• Providing Fingerprint and DNA hit intelligence to investigating officers via the GMP crime system.

They will have experience of liaising at a variety of levels within an organisation and dealing with queries.

Competent in the use of computer systems including Microsoft packages and the Internet is essential as is the ability to produce accurate written work to the required standard.

Please note that the days of work will be:
Monday - 08.00-16.00hrs
Tuesday - 08.00-13.30hrs
Wednesday - 08.00-16.00hrs
Thursday - Rest Day
Friday - 08.00-16.00hrs
