GMP is now recruiting Detective Constables to join our Investigation teams. We are a large force with a police family culture where detectives are held in high regard. Our Serious Crime and Public Protection Branch is based on the Tameside Borough with other areas of Detective work based on the boroughs force wide

In order to apply you must be confirmed in rank of a police constable, successful applicants will be invited in for a competency based interview and you will have to pass a medical, background checks and a job related fitness test. Successful applicants must be able to join a bespoke 8 Day induction course.

Please note that you must be employed by a Home Office Force in order to apply, or the Ministry of Defence (MOD), if you have been recruited after 2014 and have attended SEARCH and followed the IPLDP training programme. Please note that you will need to provide proof of completion of the IPLDP training at the eligibility stage.
