We are trusted by leading organisations to deliver successful transformation programmes that address their most complex and critical business challenges.

Our Innovation Team is dedicated to working alongside our customers to identify innovation opportunities, design user-centric solutions and deliver them to market at pace. We work hard to keep things simple for our customers, always on the lookout for new approaches or technologies that will unlock competitive advantages for organisations and benefits to end users.

The day job

Sopra Steria’s Digital Innovation Team is looking for a Senior UX Designer who will help bring solutions to life on a range of projects.

By joining a multi-disciplinary team, you will help deliver innovative digital products, working closely with other designers, engineers, and innovation consultants to create impactful and user-friendly solutions. We expect you to be open to learning new things, have a passion for innovation, an attention to detail and willing to share your knowledge with others.

This is a great opportunity to work with a wide range of customers from various industries, enabling you to quickly gain experience across new markets, new technologies and new target user groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and plan the design-led approach for multiple products - from early concept phase through to MVP release
  • Plan and run user research activities to refine our understanding of the problem(s) we intend to solve
  • Lead workshops to understand customer needs and stakeholder goals
  • Summarise user insights to help define the scope and strategy for a product, working in collaboration with the rest of the Agile delivery team
  • Work with others to translate your designs into detailed mock-ups and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Plan and run user tests to validate and iterate on your designs

Required skills

  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles with proven hands-on experience
  • Good understanding of the requirements of working as part of a large and complex organisation
  • Comfortable presenting to Senior Stakeholders and delivering clear written and verbal communication
  • An interest in emerging technologies, new design concepts and experimental ways of working. A great opportunity for you to excel in our open and creative environment!

It would be great if you had

  • Experience facilitating and co-leading workshops with colleagues and clients to explore and validate new ideas
  • An interest or experience in visual design
  • A relevant design qualification

If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!
