Overall Purpose:

To provide administrative support to the Procurement Unit with their back office functions.


Key Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reporting, analysing data as well as assisting colleagues with recording data.

The type of work will include:

*Transparency reporting on spend over £500 using the Government Procurement Card;
*Government Procurement Card checks on usage and relevancy of cards held by staff;
*Publishing Contract Notices on Contracts Finder;
*Reporting on Supplier Spend;
*Undertaking monthly/quarterly/yearly report to DWP/Cabinet Office;
*Publishing Prompt Payment Performance Data;
*Monitoring of On-Hold Invoices;
*Running Reports on Shared Service Portal (Single Operating Platform);
*General Contract Management Administration; and
*General Duties as allocated by Line Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ability to use the following Microsoft packages is essential

*Microsoft Word;
*Microsoft Excel;
*Sharepoint; and
*Microsoft PowerPoint.


Desirable Skills and Experience

It would be desirable if the chosen candidate has knowledge of the following:-

*Shared Services Connected Ltd Single Operating Platform (SSCL's SOP); and
*Contracts Finder.


Ways of Working:

The successful candidate should be self-motivated, have good analytical skills, be able to prioritise, and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

They should be able to work from home, with the understanding that this may change and they may be required to attend the Bootle Office from time to time or as and when the Covid restrictions have been lifted.

Although this is a part time post of 22 hours, we are happy for this to be spread across the 5 working day week (Monday to Friday) as the candidate chooses. However, there may be a requirement to commit to set times for any training purposes.

We are currently working from home, however we do have Covid Secure sites where individuals can go into if they are unable to work from home. This will be discussed in more detail with the successful candidate.

It would therefore be desirable if the successful candidate were equipped with their own IT equipment. Provision to the platform will be provided to allow access to all applications.
