The day job 

Develop close working relationships with assigned Public Safety Group (PSG) clients to deliver budgeted account revenue, whilst leveraging opportunities to drive profitable business growth within each account.

Liaise with support functions including service management and STORM technical teams to ensure the service is delivered in line with contractual commitments, whilst enhancing customer advocacy.

Candidates for this role are expected to be able to perform and deliver without day to day supervision, they are expected to have initiative and the judgement required to resolve day to day problems. Candidates should be able to solve problems and have commercial acumen, as well as being able to build relationships with Customers to enable them to influence buying decisions.

The working location of the role is flexible and will be a combination of home, office and Customer premises when necessary.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the key point of client contact and own the Sopra Steria relationship for the designated accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop account plans and manage customer relationships to drive growth in assigned client accounts.
  • Identify opportunities, develop value propositions and proposals to satisfy customer and company objectives.
  • Ensure that all stages of the sales cycle are undertaken effectively to achieve the results required adhering to the company selling methodology.
  • Manage sales pipeline for the assigned accounts and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Work with key functions across the business (including service management, STORM, product, finance, commercial) to achieve objectives/targets.
  • Provide client, market and competitor positioning information within assigned client accounts in order to feed into future sales propositions and overall PSG strategy
  • Meet the agreed targets for order values and contributions according to the timescales set.
  • Adhere to sales management and bid authorisation processes.
  • Participate in the development and execution of PSG strategy to meet set objectives.

Required skills

  • Previous Account Management/ Sales Consultant experience
  • Able to work without supervision
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Experience in a client management/sale
  • High level knowledge of IT solutions (software, service delivery, transformation)
  • Business knowledge (sales processes, contract management, finance, and accounting)
