Job Description Summary This global role is responsible for developing, implementing and leading the Logistics and Transportation strategy for products in the PDx business. (Contrast Media, PET & SPECT). Specifically the role will oversee the distribution and storage of all materials in the organization, including selecting carriers, compliant shipping methods, 3PL relationships and all budgetary and environmental work around same.

Job Description

  • Manages all contrast media / MI & PET freight ex the manufacturing facilities - coordinating with Supply & Demand Planning managers, group distribution and individual countries
  • Qualify, develop and manage strategic 3PL network based on key KPIs measured against specifications and other strategic requirements.
  • Support business Sustainability efforts within all Logistics sourcing strategies.
  • Drive global Network Optimization program to optimize customer and business benefits
  • Maintains supply chain budget control for freight costs
  • Provide leadership and vision to optimize Supply Chain processes (Leadtime, Cost to Serve, 3PL engagement etc.)
  • Leverage Process Excellence and Lean practices, as well as Logistics Best Practice techniques to further Logistics maturity.
  • May serve on or lead global initiatives (e.g. process improvement, training, Lean deployment, inventory management etc)
  • Provide strategic leadership to build a best-in-class, talent centric organization built around the core pillars of Lean and Supply Chain excellence. 
  • Drive future logistics digital strategy to include, but not limited to, TMS, AI, data analytics etc, to deliver increased speed, decreased waste and reduced overall costs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Logistics or related field. Or equivalent knowledge
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in logistics operations and logistics procurement strategic sourcing and Knowledge of transportation & warehousing
  • Global Transportation tendering tools and methods
  • Knowledge of Procurement Strategy
