Job Details
- First Line Support Engineer for Apple / Digital Media / Helpdesk / MAC / Windows
- First Line support for the Apple Mac's and PC's/Laptops within the BTP CCTV Department
- First Line support for troubleshooting SAN storage and Virtualization Software
- Completing all aspects of internal support queries', ranging from hardware setup, network, application issues and general enquires
- Supporting CCTV Network and Infrastructure Manager with ad hoc queries
- Help develop and improve functionality or processes
- Troubleshoot issues including out of hours both with clients, ensure faults are resolved and identify route cause to minimize reoccurrence

The successful candidate will be required to evidence the following skills:
- HND or BTEC qualifications in any CCTV discipline or relevant experience
- Some previous experience in a technical service helpdesk position
- Apple and OSX knowledge
- Prioritising workload
- Adobe

- CCTV Knowledge
- Fluency in welsh language, written and verbal is desirable
- Salary £31,240.82 plus 10% On Call Allowance plus £2,700.10 London Allowance per annum

BTP has undertaken a review of Police Staff pensions and as a result of this the Police Staff pension will be changing. The current police staff pension is a Defined Benefit scheme which is administered by the Railways Pension scheme. The new pension scheme which is launching is a Defined Contribution scheme which is administered by Royal London. The new pension scheme is awaiting formal approval and an introductory date is not finalised. The earliest this will be is August 2021.
