Salary: £156,690 (plus allowances, including car)
Location: Force Headquarters, Central Park, Manchester
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Constable. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Chief Officers who have passed the Senior Command Course. Applicants should be highly motivated and ready to play a leading role in the drive to improve Greater Manchester Police performance, by effective leadership and management. This will be a significantly demanding, but highly rewarding role.

The successful candidate will hold the highest levels of operational credibility and will;
• Be an inspirational leader with the ability to quickly take command of a range of diverse functions
• Have a sound and all round operational footprint with evidence of exceptional operational delivery
• Have the ability to connect with officers, staff and key stakeholders at all levels in order to effectively deliver excellent and high quality policing to all of Greater Manchester's communities
• Demonstrate substantial evidence of your ability to drive, improve and deliver performance outcomes at a strategic level
• Be innovative and creative in your approach with experience of delivering successful large-scale change
• Be truly committed and passionate about the service provided to the public of Greater Manchester
Requirements
Candidates must have passed the College of Policing Senior Command Course
Previous Deputy Chief Constable experience is desirable
Candidates must have passed the necessary vetting and medical checks required for the rank of Deputy Chief Constable before appointment
Closing date for applications is the 11th July 2021
Candidates will be invited to attend a familiarisation visit on 29th June 2021.
