Security Officer
Full time (42 hours per week)
Barts NHS Trust - Newham University Hospital
London, E13 8SL
Salary: £10.85 per hour
About the Role:
The post holder will report directly to the Security Duty Manager and will be responsible for providing high visibility and regular foot patrols within Trust premises as an effective deterrent in the protection of the Bart Health Trust property and assets. In tandem with high visibility patrolling, the Security Officer will provide a reassuring presence to all colleagues, visitors and patients.
The Security Officer will act as the first line emergency response to any given security situation and effectively control and monitor the access to the Trusts premises and where necessary examine documentation and identification to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access to certain areas. When required, the post holder will assist and escort visitors and Trust colleagues to their destinations within the Trust complex.
About you
The successful candidate will have credible industry experience as a Security Officer gained in the corporate and/or Healthcare environment. The security officer will hold an appropriate SIA Security, Door Supervisor License - ideally supported by a CCTV license.
