 Core Responsibilities and Duties:-

Management of three Infrastructure departments (Roads and Grounds, Airfield Operating Surfaces and Airfield Ground Lighting) 

Provide Leadership and technical guidance to sub department team leads in line with the Deputy Project Manager (Infra) intent.  

Ensure that all reports required by the contract sponsor are submitted in a timely manner with the correct detail as requested. 

Act as an interface between all departments and the customer/client to ensure compliance with the SoW. 

Ensure HS&E requirements are met and adhered to in line with the KBR HS&E manual. 

Check Minor New Works requests for technical spec and logistical requirements prior to commencing works. 

Provide departmental leads with technical advice and reassurance during works. 

Project Manage minor new works and Sub Contractors as required. 

Monitor and approve stores requests in line with the SoW and budgetary requirements. 

Capture trends and improve and implement better working practices as they are identified. 

Ensure that work orders and routine maintenance works are in line with the sponsors’ requirements and in line with the SoW as required. 

Monitor and nominate personnel to conduct out of hours call outs are actioned as per time limits dependant on the job priority. 

Attend meetings and disseminate information to ALL staff affected by any decisions that have arisen. 

Ensure that all PMP works and associated paperwork are up to date and monitored in line with PMP works orders. 

Monitor and deliver all rotation dates in line with the 75% in theatre manning requirement. 

Provide and update Job Specs as required for recruitment of personnel. 

To monitor that the Business Management System (BMS) system is up to date and utilised accordingly. 

Provide line manager duties for approximately 60+ personnel as required. 

Ensure that training and competencies are up to date and monitored as required. 

Supervise and plan plant & equipment use for all operating areas within the APOD. 

Implement, supervise and monitor all HS&E requirements and daily activities.  

Be responsible for maintenance and serviceability of all APOD plant & equipment.  

Supervise maintenance and repair of all airfield operating areas, roads and grounds. 

Supervise and plan APOD damage repair. 

Supervise rubber removal, painting, sweeping and dust control. 

Maintain Quality Assurance of department. 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:-

Essential: 

Previous Supervisory experience of maintaining and repairing pavements (ac & pc) and civil/military airfields. (construction background) 

Valid Driving licence. 

Health and Safety Qualified e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH. 

Experience managing a team of 50+ Operators and support staff from mixed nations. 

Capable of managing and working with English speaking multi-national workforce. 

Experience of working within UK Health and Safety at Work (HSAW) legislations including a proven track record of identifying and understanding the actions required to resolve hazards and unsafe practices in the workplace.  

Capable of gaining NATO Secret security clearance. 

ONC/HNC/NVQ 3 or 4 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject – e.g. Mechanical / Construction engineering. 

Capable of passing detailed medical 

 Preferred: 

Knowledge of military airfield operations and services would be an advantage. 

A1/V1 assessor/verifier. (Plant equipment)  

Be familiar with NATO, ICAO and ISO terminology. 

Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations.
