Technical Subject Matter Expert - Street Cleansing

Location: Lambeth, SE24 0PY

Salary: £50,000-£55,000

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, Serco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Subject Matter Expert to support the new contract mobilisation of our central London contract within Environmental Services.

The Technical SME role is a vital role in finding solutions to meet our client's needs with regards to the Street Cleansing side of the business.

Working to the priorities of the Operations Lead, you will deliver logic-based and challenge tested solutions to specified resources, undertaking analysis and due diligence to ensure our technical solution is robust, deliverable and meets specification requirements.

You will also develop, present and refine technical proposals throughout the mobilisation process to reflect challenage and continuous improvement objectives, develop written reporting to track progress within the operational work stream to be prepared to supply to the Operational Lead, Regional teams and the customer.

This role will see you attend regular customer meetings and present updated status on upcoming plans, operational milestone progress and tracking of required actions.

About You

In order to be considered for this position, you must have demonstrable experience and success in a similar role within the Street Cleansing sector.

You should be an experienced Technical Subject Matter Expert or Operations Manager from a Street Cleansing environment, with knowledge of Street Cleansing, Ancillary Services and Housing (external areas).

We are keen to hear from candidates with sound industry knowledge, the ability to understand the goals and deliver these within agreed timescales and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience in public/private sector contracting and operational delivery is essential, as well as GCSE English and Maths and a high degree of proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Exel.

A Business or Environmental Science Diploma/Degree and Waste & Resources related CPD would be an advantage.
