DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Your daily role responsibilities with our company will be as follows:

  • Supporting in-service operations of the systems, including:
    • Support and operation of the assigned system(s) including:
    • Systems operationally used by NATO HR community including
    APMS, AMIS, NSTEP, NIACS;
    • Local systems currently used by SHAPE Base Support Group
    and JFC Naples (ISIPS, SHAPE Housing, MTM).
    • SharePoint developed websites/applications
    • Maintenance of the operational & support environments;
    • Monitoring of performance of the assigned service applications;
    • Support CIS Support Units (CSU) and other support staff for daily
    operations of the systems.
    • Support technical reviews, walkthroughs and audits;
    • Design and improve System architectures of supporting
    applications
    • Developing ETL Workflows, in house software and integrations
    • Contribution to service application enhancement & transition for
    the assigned service applications
    • Provision of professional and technical contributions in the
    conception, development and co-ordination related to all aspects of
    software development within the SL projects or services;
    • Provision of input to the preparation of functional and technical
    specifications for software and hardware with special focus on the
    SSBA SL domain;
    • Support to change management, configuration management,
    release and testing;
    • Provision of subject matter expertise and advice as required;
    • Maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers
    • Performing other duties as may be required.
    • Ability to be deployed to NATO missions up to 20 days a year

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

If you have passion for the work described above, here are the basic qualifications we are looking for:

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in the field of computer science or electronic engineering;

  • Experience in offering support for Allocate Software Defence Suite / OneView, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, optimizing and incident resolution.

  • Experience and good knowledge of the following COTS technology:

    • GENPACT Sequence Cora;

    • CITI Manage ID;

    - Experience with programming languages and platforms like .NET, C#, JAVA, JavaScript, Node JS;

    - Experience developing and mainlining Extract Transform Load (ETL) Workflows

    - Experience developing and mainlining System Integrations

    - Experience managing and administrating virtual environments with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V;

    - Experience managing and administering Card Management Systems (including PKI)

    - Experience managing and administering Brocade Steel App load balancer;

    - Experience managing and administering Splunk

    - Experience managing and administering Windows Servers and Red Hat Linux.

    - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, optimization and querying;

    - Experience in human resource (HR) IT applications related to personnel, posts, organisations, identity management and badges;

  • Experience (at least five years) in various areas of Software Engineering including some of the following:

    • Requirements elicitation and management (including nonfunctional requirements for Operations & Maintenance);

    • SW change management and testing;

    • Application release and deployment management;

    • Configuration management practices and tools;

    • Application Lifecycle Management concept and tools.

    • Experience in planning and performing FAT, UAT and SAT

    • Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies, relevant to software engineering:

    • Technologies and standards (at least 4 of them): HTML5, REST Services, Web Services, XML, SQL, Visual Basic for Applications;

    • Application server technologies and Relational (SQL) and Nonrelational (NoSQL) data base management systems;

    • Experience in designing, deploying and maintaining large scale redundant and highly available systems

    • Knowledge of ITIL IT service management model:

    • Experience and knowledge in Service Operations including Incident and Problem Management and Service Transition including Release and Deployment, Test and Validation and Change Management.

    • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;

    • Ability to work in cross functional teams like Application management/development team;

    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills.

    • Cloud computing, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, knowledge of Microsoft Azure;

  • NATO Secret Clearance
  • Ability to live and work in duty location unencumbered
