We have excellent opportunities for a number of talented Supportability Engineers looking to progress their career within a world class engineering organisation.

The team you will be joining form part of the a multi discipline engineering team involved in the design and development of our next generation products. You will have the opportunity to ensure the supportability characteristics of our products are understood and aligned to the Customers' operational and support needs.

We will give you the environment to develop your existing technical skills across the various product design phases, helping us to deliver world leading, highly reliable and capable integrated sensor systems for our worldwide customer base. Our team's main areas of expertise are:

Working with the design teams to ensure requirements for product reliability, failure detection / isolation and in service support requirements are adequately captured.
Analysing and estimating the operational reliability of equipment designs.
Interogating functional block diagrams, equipment drawings and, circuit diagrams to identify failure mechanisms and determine preventative actions.
Determining maintenance tasks, times and frequency.
Defining Built-In-Test Strategy and verifying achieved capability.
Analysing Failure Data, estimating cost of failure and determining root cause.
Identifying equipment hazards and mitigation action to prevent injury or environmental impacts.
Modelling through life costs.

You will be actively involved in analysing, assessing and influencing the supportability characteristics and performance of the next generation of Leonardo products

You will be responsible for;

Engaging with the Integrated Project Teams to deliver Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RM&T) analysis work packages.
Using a variety of analytical techniques and procedures to perform RM&T analysis on integrated systems.
Working closely with systems, mechanical, software, RF and electronics engineers to identify and avoid real support related problems on complex systems, before they reach the Customer.
Use your engineering talent to grow and develop the supportability community and core skills base.
Contribute to continuous process/procedural improvements to help drive out the cost and reputational consequence of failure.
Understanding the Customers' operational needs to help guide the development of equipment capable of meeting the needs of future operational environments.

Ideally, you will have an engineering or science-based Honours degree.

You'll have either worked in industry, defence or will have relevant academic research experience.

Our team use: PTC Windchill Quality Solutions; Reliasoft; OPUS; Simlox; Matlab / Simulink; Jira and Python and although expertise is not essential, familiarity with some would be beneficial.

Reliability analysis
Fault detection and isolation analysis
Reliability Centred Maintenance analysis.
Maintenance Task Analysis
Equipment Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data collection and analysis
Hazard Identification and Safety Management
Fault Tree Analysis
Operational Risk Analysis
