Babcock - Emergency Services and training
Police Module Lead (Data Analyst)
West London
£45,000
Permanent

Babcock has been selected as the Metropolitan Police Service's (Met Police) learning partner, working with a consortium of four London-based universities - Anglia Ruskin University, Brunel University London, University of East London and University of West London - to support the UK's largest police service with the training of its new officer recruits from 2020.

The partnership with the Met Police will last until at least 2028, with a possibility to extend for a further two years, and is set at a maximum contract value of £309 million, dependent on the number of recruits trained under the programme.

Due to this exciting contract win, we are now looking to recruit a number of Module Lead's to ensure accuracy and consistency of delivery and assessment decisions across both the internal and subcontracted delivered provision across the PEQF contract.

You will conduct quality assurance activities in line with the IQA Strategy and awarding body (including HEIs) requirements, as well as conducting observations of teaching, learning and assessment providing clear, constructive, supportive and timely feedback to delivery staff. We are looking for candidates who will share best practice and lead standardisation activities to enhance and develop the programme and ensure consistency of assessment decisions.

As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK we also offer a collaborative working environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

What do I need to be able to do the role?

You will need to have an operational policing background whilst also having had quality assurance experience and a comprehensive understanding of challenges and issues, gained either through previous operational or academia.

We would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

• Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Hold a level 6 qualification i.e degree, chartership etc.
• Verification Awards i.e A1, V1, TAQA.
• Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent.

What else do I need to know?

• All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
• These roles will primarily based at either UWL (Ealing) or Brunel (Uxbridge) with some travel around London.
