Job Description Summary As a Field Service Engineer, you'll perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment. It's a role that will see you going out on the road to visit our customers on site. Resolving issues and providing exceptional service, you'll ensure we achieve optimal customer satisfaction. Job Description Responsibilities
  • Technical: maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area.
  • Electronic / mechanical: total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-system problems.
  • Customer skills: daily interface with radiographers and technicians on equipment status issues.
  • Relationships: assist in Account Sales visits; helps train others where necessary, participate as active member of Local Customer Teams as appropriate.
  • Cost awareness: ensure common practices and efficient methods are applied for Hourly Billed Service (HBS) and Planned Maintenance Service (PMS) contract cost control.
  • Administration: responsibly complete all administration tasks in timely and complete manner.
  • Documentation: ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts.
  • Installations: play a key role in complex and multifunctional rooms. Shares best practices.
  • Training: proactively seek training to keep up-to-date with technological developments in own modality/modalities.
  • Quality: maintain an effective Quality System and comply with the requirements of GE policies, the Quality Policy and documented processes. Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue.
  • Environment, Health & Safety (EHS): comply with the EHS Policies and applicable laws and regulations. Complete all mandatory EHS training. Actively participate in accident & incident investigation and follow up. Maintain defined levels of housekeeping & ensure a clean, clear workplace and participate in EHS inspections. Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • First line maintenance responsibility, making decision to bring in senior engineers, European On-Line Centre (OLC-E) or other support as appropriate

Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Technical analytical skills.
  • Some field service experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of specific modality or multi- modalities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
  • High work standards, works qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation.
  • Strong customer skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Plans and organizes work effectively.
  • Team working skills.
  • Demonstrates IT & networking knowledge
