Technical Lead with experience of Network and Application set up and issues. They will be working in Policing on one of the high profile digital transformations troubleshooting set up issues with Forces, 3rd parties & solution providers. There will be an technical analyst in the team as well but that is being sourced client side.

  • Applying in-depth analytical experience to identify the root-cause of problems, understanding the specific circumstances of the user and their business needs
  • Striving for technical excellence and innovative solution design
  • Experience in end-user support service provision where multiple organisations are providing services
  • Navigating the complex landscapes of technologies, 3rd party suppliers, internal and cross-government teams
  • Understanding of a technical roadmap and strategy
  • Understanding of the technical requirements to design, implement and manage associated technologies
  • Networking (including Remote Desktop & Citrix XEN) within a law enforcement context
  • Deploying and supporting end-user thick client applications onto third party managed infrastructure
  • Tracing network traffic from end-user devices to core services across local and centralised network including reviewing firewall configuration and other network security tooling
  • Analysing client and server-side application logs and metrics in support of issue identification and resolution
  • Liaising with specialist development teams to investigate issues and find paths to resolution

  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organisation and to high-priority infrastructure issues
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
