We pride ourselves on a high-quality service, often supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society - and as our Resource Planning Officer you'll ensure that we continue to deliver this incredibly important work with us at our partnership with Hertfordshire County Council.

The Customer Service Centre (CSC) is the first point of contact for many of Hertfordshire County Councils Services. We deliver a diverse range of services, many of which play an important part in people's lives. Working from MI data received from our central MI team, you'll be responsible for staff resourcing, planning packs and CSC work streams. Working with Team Managers you'll be responsible for the centre, making sure it is adequately resourced during peaks times, breaks, absences etc all with the aim of maintaining performance against all our KPI's and business requirements. Understanding the MI data you have been provided, you'll have responsibility for resource making decisions; or changes to supporting technology; maximising ease and speed of access to all our customers.

What you'll need to do the role:

First and foremost, you will have experience working with Microsoft Excel, and be comfortable liaising with Senior Team members to discuss and plan daily resources. Ideally, you'll have experience working in a Contact Centre environment, with knowledge of Call Routing, Skills Based routing, Contact Blending, Staff Optimisation and Workforce Management software. However, we are also keen to hear from those who may have experience in Scheduling/Rostering in a different sector (Travel, Logistics for example).

Naturally you'll have excellent communication skills using a wide range of media with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. In order to motivate our workforce, you should be engaging and motivated in your approach.
