Royal Air Force Coningsby has a diverse selection of aircraft operating from its airfield. With Typhoon aircraft and the historical aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, much of the history of the RAF in the last 70 years can be seen in the skies over Coningsby.

The Tech 3 producers are employed on the Surface Finish (SF) Contract to support painting services for the MoD under the requirements of ASCOMM5/1157. The Tech 3 supports a Tech 2 technician in the delivery of SF in a wide range of supporting tasks, which include surface preparation (abrading, paint stripping, DMS, masking, cleaning and pre-treatment) and SF Support duties. Along the way you'll make sure all work is being completed to quality, health, safety, environmental and aviation safety requirements, including COSHH and Risk Assessments - with further training provided to support you on this.

What you will need to do the job:

This is a career opportunity for the right candidate as initially there are no specialist skills required to do the job. We are interested in people who are passionate about developing their career at RAF Coningsby. However, some knowledge or previous experience of working in an engineering environment and holding a full UK Driving Licence would be beneficial.

What we offer:

There are a range of benefits for working at Serco including a salary of £17,994.48- £18,119.17 per annum plus a 9% shift allowance on basic. Serco offers 25 days holiday, and we have a working pattern of 2 weeks days 07:00-15:45, 2 weeks Nights 15:45 02:45. Your uniform is provided and here is plenty of free onsite parking. There are regular buses from Swindon and Faringdon taking approx. 20 mins.
