Essential Responsibilities

Be a primary contact for OT Cyber security activities across the various sales, engineering and service teams to assist with all aspects of Cyber work, including; design, development, product and platform analysis, customer risk assessments, install base analysis and upgrade proposals, design reviews and threat analysis.

This role requires strong cooperation across the various business teams to provide assistance as needed to understand customer requirements, market activity and design needs. The cyber engineer should be comfortable making design decisions in a sometimes-uncertain context, crafting innovative solutions, and demonstrating decisive leadership. The role will involve working with multiple teams in different locations to  deliver Cyber secure software and solutions to meet customer requirements.

As the Senior Cyber security engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with a global team to define and develop software requirements, architecture, and designs meeting IEC62443 and other relevant Cybersecurity standards for OT control systems across multiple segments; Marine, O&G and Industry.
  • Work with Sales and Engineering teams to assist as needed with customer enquiries and engineering projects.
  • Facilitate decisions and bring teams together to design and document software architecture, modularity, and future-proofing across the business.
  • Lead software design reviews and ensure software adherence to standards / architecture principles
  • Champion testing and validation of critical architecture and interface requirements for real time controls system software as well as application tools
  • Own production of technical documentation for software architecture, design, verification plans
  • Understand market drivers and competitive activity, be proactive on IP suggestions.
  • Perform threat analysis on control systems, inc legacy installed base and offer mitigation strategies.
  • Propose, prepare, and author technical design notes and industry papers.
  • Lead and mentor software and development engineers
  • Contribute to multi-generation product planning
  • Ensure all software developed is compliant to Cybersecurity requirements


Role Summary/Purpose

As a key member of a global and matrixed design team, the Senior Cybersecurity engineer is responsible for defining the cyber security approach for automation solutions and control systems. This will be across a variety of segments, applications and domains - sales, development, engineering and service.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor /master's degree in computer science or relevant engineering
  • Extensive cyber knowledge & experience with 10+ Years of Experience
  • Significant software experience of for OT SCADA & control systems
  • Detailed knowledge of IEC624443 & NIST SP 800 cyber standards
  • Penetration testing expertise for controllers, Systems ,Web software's, Ethical hacking
  • Experienced in different phases of Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) including Design, Implementation and Testing during the development of software applications.
  • Extensively worked on web technologies like JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, Angular 6, NodeJs, Spring, Hibernate, Spring boot, MVC, RESTful Web Services, Flux, SOAP
  • Cloud platform experience : AWS
  • MS Visual Studio, MS Office, MS Visio, SVN, GitHub
  • Linux and Windows Operating systems
  • Extensively worked on Software Configuration Management tools like Git.

Desired Characteristics
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
  • Strong software development skills in C++, C#, Python, Databases.
  • Experience in Marine control systems
  • Experience in distributed computing systems with advance secure M2M comms
  • Experience with threat detection and mitigation approaches / solutions
  • Leadership experience in a research and development environment
