The Role

Our client, a specialist data and technology-driven consultancy primarily focused on implementing Data, Cloud and Analytics transformation programmes for their end-customers.

Due to significant demand for their innovative services, the company is undertaking a major recruitment drive to grow the business and have put plans in place to expand their Test team. 

They are keen to recruit a talented Test Automation Engineer to join their programme team, who are primarily focused on providing expertise and specialist data analytics and transformation services, enabling their end-customers to gain valuable insights from their data and improve their business decision-making and overall company performance.

Working remotely in a geographically dispersed team, you will directly be involved in the definition, development and execution of technical testing throughout the complete development lifecycle, from project initiation through to delivery.

• You will be producing the Test approaches modelled around using Test automation as the base.
• You will be producing Integration Automation Test scripts, data and scenarios in accordance with the documented approach.
• You will embed, run and maintain the automated tests prescribed within the Automation Test Framework.
• You will analyse and document, if needed the defects discovered during test runs.
• You will be working with the development and environment teams to rectify and retest issues encountered during testing.

What we look for in you?

• Proven experience working as a Test Automation Engineer or in Quality Assurance Automation.
• Proven experience in all areas of the testing lifecycle (i.e. systems testing, functional, regression testing, UAT)
• You have an excellent understanding and working experience of one of Selenium, Cypress, Spec Flow or other code-based test frameworks.
• You have good working knowledge of .NET coding languages and/or JavaScript
• Good experience in testing Web UI and Web API applications
• Good experience of test-driven development processes and frameworks
• Good knowledge of commonly used test models & frameworks
• Proven knowhow of the test lifecycle and where it sits within the development lifecycle
• Good experience of carrying out peer reviews, triages, show-and-tells product demonstrations.
• Basic knowledge of JSON, XML and SQL would be nice.
• Good experience with deployment of applications on cloud and on-premises environments
• Good experience working with Enterprise BSS applications
