Interim Digital Dev Ops  - Remote Working 

Pay Rate: Up to £660 max per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Key Accountabilities:

  • A Dev-Ops engineer is required to oversee incidents, meet security standards and maintain service continuity for the organisation's critical services
  • To undertake Platform provision to enable greater automation of development including automatic scaling, reduced support costs, as well as reduced risks of human error
  • To support migration of services to the new platform reutilises shared central infrastructure and will allow team to decommission the existing platform, thereby enabling cost savings
  • Continued maintenance of our existing platform is mission critical in being to support team's digital services including the management of existing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Utilising existing knowledge greatly de-risks platform maintenance and re-utilises existing knowledge to ensure incidents can be managed in accordance with SLA’s and supports migration efforts to the new platform
  • Support ongoing Platform maintenance and upgrades maintenance completed on a regular basis
  • Ensure upgrades and security patching completed within the security agreed timescale as prioritised by the Delivery Manager
  • Provide on-call services for the platforms On-call services provided. (On-call services provided or swapped with other engineers as per the rota)

 

 

Key Requirements:

  • Server maintenance experience
  • A background of operating and maintaining services within a digital estate
  • Previous experience of Security patching to maintain servers
  • Experience of Live Service Management of digital services, including service management
  • Knowledge of public sector security standards
  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Knowledge of project delivery governance
  • Experience of Coaching and mentoring
  • Knowledge of agile delivery context
