Java Developer (DV Cleared)

Pay: £450/650pd (PAYE via Umbrella)

Loc: London or the South West

Clearance: DV Cleared

Our clients are seeking a number of software specialists on a contract basis across London and the South West. The successful candidate will have proven experience in professional Java/C#C++ development, writing well-designed and testable code.

Essential criteria:

• End user engagement to identify operational problems and work with them to solve the issue.
• Ability to work to tight time frames in order to meet predefined SLA targets.
• Ability to set up and work with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus and the Elastic Stack
• Knowledge of Bash and Python, using these to automate administrative task where possible, and provide feedback to development teams to help reduce toil.
• Ability to assist development teams with software deployments using CI/CD pipelines, using technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible.

Desirable criteria :

• Agile Scrum methodologies using tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Have knowledge of AWS, Linux, Open Shift, Jenkins, SQL and Oracle technologies.
