Project Managers provide a key role delivering the Home Office Transformation Portfolio. It is large, complex and challenging and encompasses over 20 major and/or mission critical projects and programmes plus four business portfolios of change. There is a strong focus on agile, modular project delivery, supported by enterprise-wide portfolio management and you could find yourself working on a project for the UK???s critical national infrastructure through to a complex technology enabled business change programme.



The Role of a Project Manager

Your role as a Project Manager is to take the lead in the management and delivery of service migration projects within the Programme, along with managing other technology preparatory workstreams and activities. The role holder will be expected to lead their delivery in collaboration with subject matter experts on the Programme and stakeholders across the function.


This role is to take on a project to migrate several services from our legacy Oracle platform and migrate them to our strategic AWS platform.


Essential Criteria:

??        Strong Project Manager with core processes especially planning

??        Experience of working in a complex data environment and with complex sets of business requirements

??        Running IT migration

o   Decommissioning and turning off legacy services once migrated

??        Ensuring existing business requirements and existing functionality are captured

??        Ensuring these requirements are either mapped to existing DSA products in AWS (preferred route) or to a new-build product

??        Understanding of Business Analysis and analytics

??        An understanding Oracle and AWS Technologies

??        Ability to engage with difficult Stakeholder and be able to effectively influence

??        Collaborate with BA???s, Data teams and Architects, security, platform, and cloud infrastructure teams

??        The ability ???in how to size things??? with the right planning

??        PRINCE2 (Practitioner)

??        Agile Project Management (Practitioner)

??        APM Qualification (Practitioner)

??        APM Registered Project Professional
