Job Description Summary As a member of the GE Aviation customs team, the Senior Customs Monitoring Analyst is a key team member responsible for risk mitigation and process excellence with the monitoring function. The overall GE Aviation Customs team is responsible for supporting the customs operations for import activity for the GE Aviation business across all global sites.

Under the guidance of the Global Special Program and Monitoring Leader, the primary responsibility will be to govern the Monitoring (auditing) and Post Entry operations for global trade to include control-based audit assessments related to various Customs operations, including but not limited to; Valuation, Special Programs, Duty Spend, Post Entry Processes, among other customs related areas:

Job Description Essential Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Global Special Program and Monitoring Leader, the primary responsibility will be to govern the Monitoring (auditing) and Post Entry operations for global trade to include control-based audit assessments related to various Customs operations, including but not limited to; Valuation, Special Programs, Duty Spend, Post Entry Processes, among other customs related areas:
- Lead global risk audits program (includes topical audits and previous W2W including HTS, Special Programs and Valuation audits), publish results, file post entry amendments if applicable and execute improvements
- Oversee the Customs risk model and the Customs Compliance Tracker to ensure timely resolution to gaps/issues identified
- Execute the strategy for 3rd party and internal execution of Post Entry and Monitoring activities to ensure compliant customs imports in a cost-effective manner
- Develop and execute methods to validate results from analytic-based testing and transactional testing
- Perform audits in accordance to SOP's
- Lead continuous improvement requirements resulting from audit results driving functional ownership and systematic solutions; as well as controls.
- Provide advice to site locations regarding customs compliance, policies & controls
- Create and own various metrics to gauge compliance risk, financial risk & opportunity, and process stability; align metrics to business expectations
- Define Regional specific SOPs to drive Customs Compliance and meet Corporate Enterprise Standards
- Execute internal audits and transactional testing in accordance with Customs regulations
- Provide IPP/ASP Risk Oversight for Business and support agent escalations
- Develop and lead the local Customs Broker due diligence process
- Own the agent invoice review process
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, International Studies or similar field
- A minimum of years experience in audit, controllership, or customs import activity

- Knowledge and understanding of customs regulations and the overall Import processes and compliance programs
