Health Physics Technical Supervisor

This role will be to coordinate the daily workload and organise and adapt as required and to comply with legislative and company requirements

Key Accountabilities:
- Providing a nuclear and environment baseline role as specified under AWE`s arrangements for health physics covering Radiation Protection and Nuclear emergency response.
- To ensure minimum manning numbers are maintained within the facilities at all times in accordance with safe operating envelopes (SOE`s) and facility emergency plans (FERP`s).
- Ensure compliance with site licence conditions and IRR requirements.
- The health and safety of the health physics team.
- Provide technical advice and support to the business, as required.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Act as authorised source inventory holder as required under the ASIH requirements.
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
- City & guilds stage 1 in radiation safety/Equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Proven experience of managing and leading teams through change.
- Extensive experience of working in health physics or the nuclear industry.
- Management experience in high hazard/highly regulated environments.
