Job Description Summary The Global FP&A Finance Manager will work as part of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDX) FP&A team and be responsible for DM, DL, OH and fixed production costs across PDX including GSC, internal margins and standard costs. The Global FP&A Finance Manager will work cross functionally with PDX plant finance managers, SAP support teams, Group FP&A, Regional Finance Managers, Controllership and treasury to deliver growth, business strategy and profitability, as well as drive visibility and improvement into our gross margin processes. In this role he/she will manage a team of Financial Analysts as well as work indirectly with finance managers/analysts in multiple locations. The Global FP&A Finance Manager will report to the Global FP&A Leader and work in partnership with Global Supply Chain GM - Core Imaging & Global Supply Chain CFO.

Job Description Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly and quarterly closing/estimate and develop reliable estimates of DM, DL, OH and Fixed production costs, standard margins and internal margins.
  • Partner with supply chain finance leader to updated standards costs and drive systemic split of DM, DL, OH
  • Work with treasury to provide regular estimates of the FX exposure for the DM, DL, OH and fixed production costs and internal margins
  • Track progress against plan at a granular level. Recommending actions to get to planned performance for the operating teams
  • Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
  • Continue to develop estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, GPB (3-year plan) and SII (1-year plan)
  • Drive reporting process improvements & standard work across the plants
  • Drive standard work and continuous improvement of the DM, DL, OH, fixed product costs & internal margins estimate and actuals processes
  • Partner with business leader and staff to drive operating performance & act as champion for strategic initiatives within the organization
  • Assist with management reporting (regional and segment P&L's) and communicate results to managers.
  • Drive consistent usage of Hyperion, GLA (report net), and Qliksense Business Intelligence (B.I.) tools across GE Healthcare.  Develop new reports for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Experience working on Supply Chain related matters.
  • Experience leading in a matrixed environment, leading team members balancing execution through others with inclusiveness, leveraging expertise, clear thinking, imagination, and external focus.
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation.

  • Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)/Operational Finance leadership program (OFLP); or graduate of other financial leadership programs is an asset.
