Job Details

'Prevention First' is a new and transformative operating model, shifting Hertfordshire Constabulary's policing focus to a preventative way of working. Hertfordshire is the first Force in the country to implement this preventative model and have a strong track record in partnership working to stop repeat crime, victimisation and harm, now looking to be enhanced. By understanding why operational and organisational issues occur and tackling that, as well as deploying criminal justice and enforcement options appropriately, the Constabulary can reduce demand.

Given the implementation of this new model, an exciting opportunity to join Hertfordshire Constabulary as one of four Business Development Analysts is offered to help shape and deliver the Forces' Prevention First agenda. Working within the Local Change Team, the Business Development Analysts will develop and disseminate business information to better inform the Constabulary and enable the efficient provision of service and contribute to achieving the Force's vision, purpose and values.

Applicants must be experienced in data collection methodologies and interpretation and presentation of numeric analysis and must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills. The successful applicants will be computer literate with the experience in the use and development of spreadsheet and databases. Finally, a sound working knowledge and experience in business development improvement is required.

All internal applicants must have successfully completed their probationary period in order to apply for this role.

Internal applicants within Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary or Hertfordshire Constabulary (BCH), should upload their CV or a completed 'Staff internal role summary' form (if you do not have a current CV), which can be found in the vacancy documents below. We strongly recommend that where possible, a CV is provided to ensure that your full experience and employment history is demonstrated. Please note you will be required to provide a statement no more than 500 words against the minimum entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile.

External applicants should ensure that their current CV is uploaded and provide a statement of no more than 500 words against the minimum entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile. To ensure the recruitment process is fair and equal, please do not include personal details on your CV other than your name.
