Henderson Scott is proud to be working with a UK based, leading technology company, that is looking for a number of software engineers with strong Java skills and a real passion for their craft to join their talented engineering teams in Manchester.

The business designs and develops innovative, cutting edge software solutions for central Government clients. Whether safeguarding systems and networks or helping clients make sense of large volumes of data to aid decision making, the team are true specialists in their field and make a real difference to the safety of the UK.

The role

As a software engineer you will join an incredibly talented team of engineers that work across a range of genuinely cutting-edge projects, utilising a wide variety of technologies. Working within an Agile DevOps environment you will design and deliver high end, secure software, often solving complex technical problems along the way.

What are we looking for?

• Proven record of solution delivery
• Ideally experience across the full stack
• Experience with Java and JavaScript
• Database technologies such as Oracle, Elasticsearch or MongoDB
• A desire to learn new technologies and tools

Any experience with the following would be highly desirable

• Cloud development
• DevOps, CI/CD tools
• BDD / TDD
• Microservices architecture
• API development
• Data analytics
• Big Data technologies
• Machine Learning – NLP/Deep learning/Text analytics
