Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for an ADA Software Engineer to join our team in Crawley within the Defence sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values of; Excellence, Accountability, Integrity and Service.
Your new role:
As an ADA Software Engineer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Defence industry.
As an ADA Software Engineer your main responsibilities will be:
- To ensure the analysis of top-level solution requirements and to decompose software specific requirements.
- To lead and participate in the detailed design.
- To write and test code along the compliance of activities and statements of the software system in line with the requirements.
- To review process gates and peer review designs.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as an ADA Software Engineer and as a consultant.
Experience required:
- Programming language: ADA95 and C.
- Development environment: Jira, subversion and GIT.
- Agile Methodology (ideally KANBAN) and Lean approach.
- Software programming in real time operating systems.
- Embedded software within embedded hardware.
Highly desired experience:
- Radar domain, mission processors and tactical data links.
- UML/Rhapsody and DOORs.
Qualifications required:
Degree in a relevant engineering disciple with demonstrable experience.
