Job Description Summary This role, as part of the GE Healthcare global Internal Communications team, is focused on driving employee awareness, affinity and engagement, built on our strategy, priorities and purpose. While flexing across projects and priorities, the primary responsibilities of the role will be developing and executing internal communications strategies for the Finance and Global Law & Policy Functions, partnering with the CFO and GC, and their HR Partners, and providing internal communications support for the Digital business, aligning with GE Healthcare internal communications strategy to ensure a consistent employee experience.

Job Description Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
  • Manage communications planning and deployment for the assigned Function/business areas, creating communication strategies that keep employees informed and engaged, and translate business need into employee action.
  • Be a strategic and trusted communications consultant to Function leadership teams, providing communications guidance on complex, sensitive and business critical priorities, to enable an aligned and inclusive culture through a transparent and contemporized communications approach, as well as provide counsel on when, and critically when not, to communicate.
  • Partner with the Digital Communications Director to provide internal communications counsel and support, to include the development and execution of communications plans, within the Digital organization, as well as actively drive the transformative digital message across GE Healthcare as it relates to the strategic priorities to drive deeper employee understanding and engagement.
  • Collaborate with broader Corporate Marketing and Communications team (Business, Region and other Function Communicators) to ensure Function messaging and communications tools and materials are aligned.
  • Lead and support, as appropriate, the development and implementation of companywide internal communication activities aligned to our business strategy and culture.
  • Contribute to further developing the team to be a 'best in class' Internal Communications Function.
  • Work with the Internal Communications Director to resource priority projects and reprioritize if, and as, new demands arise; this will require this role to flex as appropriate to support and contribute to other areas within the scope of Internal Communications.
  • Develop meaningful and actionable metrics to measure reach and effectiveness of communications.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.  Ideally, but not essentially, in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field and a minimum of 6 years communications experience OR minimum 8 years communications experience covering organizational / internal communications, PR or marketing communications.
  • Must have demonstrable ability to develop strategic communications plans, advise senior leaders on communications strategy, but also the ability to deliver at the tactical level.
  • Strong written communication, presentation and planning skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly, tailoring communication methods to customer's requirements.
  • Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy to understand and compelling manner; able to deliver key messages effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to cope well working on multiple tasks, sometimes with conflicting deadlines and under pressure; and operate effectively in high-stress situations - this includes continuing to persevere and remain calm in challenging or frustrating circumstances.
  • A true team-player who is able to work with remote team members.
  • Broad experience with a knowledge of print, digital and video technologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of English language (oral and written).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • International experience, or experience in a multinational corporate environment.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • An understanding of all communications disciplines and the interplay (media, digital, social, marcom, etc).
  • Mentoring / supervisory experience.
