We are looking for an In Theatre Manager to join our team based at our MOD Corsham site in Wiltshire and involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicant to be able to be security cleared to a UK DV level.

Although this role is based from our Corsham site in the UK you will be required to be permanently based in the Middle East (Currently Al Udeid Airbase in the state of Qatar)

You will be the Airbus focal point, for the Deployed Operational networks and support elements across the Broader Middle East.

You will provide the in theatre customer with a 'One Stop Shop' regarding Airbus specific queries and provide support and advice on all matters.

Reporting directly to the Head of Service Management you will also maintain a high level of Customer relationships across various levels of UK MOD Staff in the Middle East and managing the production of reports for service availability metrics for the UK Management Team

Task & accountabilities :

- Management interface with Serco or additional subcontractor to ensure KPI's / SLA are met. Perform regular monitoring of the delivery of contracts and review the technical capabilities of the deployed teams

- Collaborate with all Airbus Skynet 5 delivery departments on service management, service support, service implementation and customer account activities to ensure issues are resolved quickly and the flow of information is facilitated across the matrix of the company

- Support all Airbus employees who are required to deploy in support of systems and platforms

- Support the delivery of new requirements / capability at existing OP locations

- Support deployed customer working groups/meetings whilst in the deployed location

Required skills :

- At least 3 years' experience delivering telecommunications services in a MOD operational environment

- Good understanding of satellite communications and baseband networking

- Experience of team management

- Can pass a physical fitness test prescribed by the MOD

- Experience in a Commercial Service Provider environment

- A firm understanding of MOD communications policy and procedures an advantage

- Good understanding of MOD CONDO policies and procedures

- Minimum HND in Telecommunications Engineering, 2nd Class Telecommunications Engineering degree an advantage or equivalent field experience

- CONDO Working in Dangerous Environments

- Detailed technical knowledge and first-hand experience of at least 4 of the following areas: RF Systems - VSAT or Earth Station environment, CISCO, voice switches, multiplexers, Wi-Fi networking and CESG approved cryptographic equipment's
