My client is seeking a SC cleared programme manager to work for a public sector organisation.

Pay: £500-550 Per day

IR35: Outside

Commitment: Full time - 5 days per week (remote until covid restrictions are lifted. Then fully onsite)

Start date: 1st April 2021

End date: 30th September 2021 with renewal potential subject to successful delivery of commission objectives

Please note, SC clearance is an essential requirement for this role. Those who possess active SC clearance must be willing to undergo DV security clearance

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactive delivery of the programme, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality etc). Escalation of risks and issues where necessary to the Govt.
  • Supporting development and maintenance of positive engagement with the complex range of senior government stakeholders.
  • Management of multi supplier)delivery teams output (approx. 25 individuals in total)
  • Ensure the commission operates in line with the ACE ways of working and governance reviews but also complies with HO programme requirements.
  • Resolve conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the programme and collaborating across the ACE functions and sub-contractors.
  • Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal).

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Expert in Agile techniques with strong experience coaching and mentoring Agile techniques and methodologies, ideally at programme level e.g. SAFe. Has a wider experience of other Programme Management methodologies.
  • Experience gained, typically rather than necessarily, between 4-6 years of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function; successful delivery of programmes or complex projects.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a complex environment.
  • Workforce management experience and evidence of leading and motivating a team.
  • Proven track record of managing successful high value complex projects or programmes.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple multi discipline teams.
  • Excellent written, visual, and assertive communication skills.
  • Experience of managing multiple senior stakeholders through proactive communication and exception handling.
